Over 5,000 bodies have been recovered from the bottom of Niagara! Since 1850, officials at Niagara Falls have kept records of how many bodies they actually recover, and their number has gone over 5,000! Of that number, it’s difficult to say how many were intentional.  On a yearly basis, Niagara gets about a dozen suicides from people trying to die by going over the waterfall.
